Arabibus talck, Avicenae est aster Samius
Veterum, aliis alumen Scaiolae, at Graecis omnibus recentioribus, praecipue Χημευτικοῖς, Veterum ἀφροτέληνον, qui aliô nomine Σεληνίτης λίθος, lapis inanis et levis, quod per lunae augmenta plenior ac solidior inveniretur, sic dictus. Dioscorides, γεννᾶται δὲ εν Αραβίᾳ λευκὸς, διαυγὴς, κούφος, nascitur autem in Arabia albus, pellucidus et levis. Unde et κουφόλεθος recentioribus appellatur. Recensetur Stephano Alexandrino inter ea, quae calcinantur, et quorum cineres magnos praebent effectus in arte sufflandi: et ex Lunari effluvio originem capere τῆς χημείας Auctoribus Gaecis traditur, unde nomen ἀφροσελην´ου, quasi ex spuma Lunae concreti. Lunam enom spumare in herbas et lapides Veteribus creditum esse notum:
